It is not just you. Seems like another sweep of that autocracy/fascism wave we had going 100 years back. I am however told that we in the west will be having dope ass weapons and totally something still worth defending #believe
lowleekun
There is some truth to this (as in puritanical people try to appeal to either sides through different tactics) but gooning and loli is not really something that can be put onto the political spectrum. The boards i am on are really split and while i don't get how they can be right wing nuts they do exist.
Because we want to believe.
Tbh i don't, i just would love to be wrong but seeing all the shit we've done and still are doing? It is rough. Especially the cries for more military spending are driving me nuts. Having to forego any needed investments in the last decades only to have all that money ready as soon as the drums of war starting to beat fucking suuuuuuucks. I am not even american and still it is the same song.
Guys, ist it time for that civil war yet or do you need some more time? Asking as a european, because it kinda is important what happens now.
Like honestly, does someone have an indepth analysis of likely scenarios because i really do not see how you guys might even manage to get back to your usually slow sucky decline under democrats.
I mean this is clearly to be expected. The russian people have suffered many times from rulers that only understand their people as resources.
We should be looking at this and do the opposite: Invest in schools, education, infrastructure and culture. Those however are the very things we save money first and i am unsure how other countries are faring but in germany we were told we need to save money. Years after years. Now all of a sudden we have hundreds of billions for weapons again.
Like i get it, we prepare for war but i sure don't have to cheer it on. And to be honest, reading about russia every day does only increase the dread.
I asked my self yesterday: At what economical price would come peace in ukrain with designing something that lets them keep their right to self determination. I have no idea but sending them weapons seems to be the economical answer we found.
Guys! Guys! It is only the U.S. thats in steep decline! Just look at that fool Trump at how we totally change underlying problems within our systems by doing the same shit!
What a whack timeline, i was promised space exploration and the end of cancer but instead i get cancerous governments that suck the people dry all around world.
Weapons, we need more weapons!! What a time to be alive. Really looking forward for that war some years down the line.

Like don't get me wrong, i don't think russia/china are the "good guys". I really hope the narrative that we are is true tho...
We only think we are. We are sitting in the same boat and don't dare to leave it. Trump has to be seen more as a sympton of our political and economical system not being able to enact changes that betters the lives of the majority of people.
Middle east? We don't want to change our design Social Injustice? The poor aren't working enough and also they steal our jobs Climate Change? We can't afford to do what needs to be done. We will just have to acclimate to a vastly different world somewhere in the future... Wars and conflict? Our allies have no other way and some countries need simply to be toppled as to get better contracts for them companies
I could go on or into detail but thinking that we can push back autocracy without getting rid of the old sins and problems will not work out. Until we realise this, autocracy will try anything and everything to uphold the status quo for as long as possible.
Imagine needing Xenophobia to deflect from the fact that one has no better ideas than everyone else. Just put those problems on migrants and pretend to fix something by deporting.
The most ironic part is that our system NEEDS fresh human capital as we are not able to get our greedy little hands on any other ressources right now and thats not good for our economy.
Our god (the economy) is dying and all our system knows is to carry on, prevent reform und deflect.
I'd like to quote the wise Rage Against The Machine: "Burn, burn, yes, you're gonna burn"
I will welcome all american sisters and brothers with open arms.
I feel with you, being Anti-Zionist in the U.S. gotta suck even more.
One thing that has goven me hope is how more people than one might think are ready to change their views once they looked at the oppression and the resulting suffering. They do not need to instantly recognize it as a genocide and still will lose faith in Zionism. I showed my Zionist mom "No Other Land" and she was shocked. I was shocked she watched until the end but oh so proud.
On the off chance of losing some, i am now convinced that i can make more people look at the horrors and help them to form a more educated opinion, that hopefully leads to action.
Heads up mate, not all is lost and you yourself are the evidence that people in the U.S. can be on the left. We can't let ourselves be beaten down be the mainstream-narrative that is designed to uphold the status quo. These forces are also present right here in the internet so we will have to take it to the streets eventually.
At this moment i do not give too much of a fuck why people fight for Gaza.
Whats the other countries reason to suck up to murderers? Whats a good reason to watch a genocide unfolding?
I can only say to Merz und his friends: Go eat a bag of shit you corrupted, heartless bastards.
