There are laws about it for military stuff, they actually can just be legally nationalized if a CEO is being a traitor. I'm not sure about the timeline for that to be done but trying to do it at all would have been better than continuing with no consequences.

Established pharma R+D is largely clinical trials and/or process development. If her work is patented by the university then pharma may pay the university to use her work. You should emphasize the 4-legged more than animal. Also they're 270-570lb and ~58.8% of their body weight is skeletal muscle, highest percentage of any mammal.
