Don't forget sending people to torture camps, or bombing kids, or expanding the systems that the current fascist government is using.

The Democrats do so much more than just helping out with genocide!

[–] piefood@feddit.online 7 points 5 months ago

That's fair. I updated it to say both. I phrased it that way in response to ChonkyOwlBear's implication that the Democrats were the good guys

Who said it doesn't?

I think you dropped this:

Democrats & Republicans

  • Bombed kids
  • Tortured innocent people
  • Increased the surveillance state
  • Took money from the poor and working class, and gave it to their rich friends
  • Spent billions on wars, while claiming that they couldn't afford to fix our healthcare or housing problems
  • Boasted about deporting more people than Republicans
  • Backed a Genocide

The explanation is that Biden was a terrible president, who fucked over the people that voted for him. The Democrats dissolusioned voters by telling them to ignore their eyes, and continue supporting someone who was clearly in severe cognitive decline. Harris was an uncharasmatic shell of a human, who said that she was going to continue highly unpopular polices, and gave no criticism of a highly unpopular president.

Maybe the "...negative attitude towards Democrats in general", is justified. It's always amazing to me that Democrats think they have a Perception Problem, when they actually have a Reality Problem.

You can also give yourself equipment and money, if you set yourself up as a GM

[–] piefood@feddit.online 7 points 5 months ago

I have one as well, and it's so much fun. It's pretty much just for my SO and me, but sometimes I have friends join. It's super cool having GM commands and all that.

Good work, I hope you have fun with it!

If there was only one single thing that I could teach everyone about politics, it would be: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kayfabe

I feel like our political system would be so much better if everyone understood how most of it is a show, instead of a competition.

geneva_convenience made David Paterson write a letter that is trying to divide the left?

I never said anything about the Greens. I do think that the Democrats are pretty awful with the the representatives that they do and have had.

And Sanders didn't get as many votes, because the DNC teamed up to stop him: "Joe Biden was not picked in 2020 because he was the only person that could beat Donald Trump. He was picked because he was the only person that could beat Bernie Sanders"

The DNC is also a corporate party. They've spent billions helping out their friends, while leaving the poor and working class to fend for themselves. Their taxes and regulations are a joke.

If the DNC is pro-union, why do they pick anit-union politicians that shoot down union strikes and efforts? Why did the strip the minimum wage increase from their bill?

They both want to bomb kids, back a genocide, and send immigrants to torture prisons. While yes, they do have differences in foreign policy, those big three are pretty big, and pretty disgusting. If they want votes, maybe they should differentiate themselves, instead of just continuing Republican policies.

My plan is the same as it was when the DNC had a majority: Support parties that actually fight for what I want, and push back on parties like the Republicans and Democrats who fight against what I want.

The DNC shoots down Sanders The DNC nominates center-right politicians The DNC pushes pro-corporate, anti-labor policies The DNC takes war-monger money, and pushes for more wars

"If you advocate against the DNC then you're not advocating for progressive policies."

One of these things is not like the others
