Yeah, that's a pretty common belief-system among Democrats. I actually copy/pasted my reply from another conversation since I come across it so frequently

"I don't think we should bomb children", "I think medial-debt shouldn't be the largest cause of bankruptcy in our country", "People should be able to oppose genocide", "cops shouldn't be able to assault innocent people without consequence"
"isn't perfect"
I think your definition of "perfect" might be a little off, as I think those are all fairly reasonable to ask of the DNC.
EDIT: I think I mis-understood your post. I think you meant that Finite only accepts posts where the Democrats are painted as perfect. I read it as "Finite refuses to accept anything except perfection from the DNC". My apologies if I mis-interpreted it.
Considering that Biden's open failures as a president and candidate are the primary reasons that Trump is in power, I don't think it's irrelevant at all.
Advertisements are an attack to manipulate me and change my behaviour. I don't tolerate them at all. They also ruin the product, because it eventually becomes more important to cater to the advertisers than the users.
If Youtube went back to how it was originally (no ads, downloadable videos, creator-controlled, etc), I, and many others, would happily pay them even if we could get the content for free (see Patreon, or GoFundMe, or PornHub, or Imgur, or Reddit, or many other sites as examples).
It does dark-theming with config.set('colors.webpage.darkmode.enabled', True), and I run it with JS turned off by default. That gets rid of the vast majority of ads for me.
I'd guess that the stats were thrown off every small business that has an annoying TV blaring in the background
"I don't think we should bomb children", "I think medial-debt shouldn't be the largest cause of bankruptcy in our country", "People should be able to oppose genocide", "cops shouldn't be able to assault innocent people without consequence"
"expect perfect"
I think your definition of "perfect" might be a little off, as I think those are all fairly reasonable to ask of a candidate.
Yes, Harris would have been better than Trump, but that is a pretty low bar. She spent her time trying to get as close to that bar as she thought she could get away with.
I actually love email. While yes, this post is accurate, email is the most filterable communication system that I have. Since I have my own email-server, and I know how procmail rules work, I can tightly control who is allowed to contact me, and what folders their messages go into. It also has great crowd-sourcing of known spammers, that I can pull from to help me filter out spammy IP addresses.
Every other message system only has a "report spam" button, that is dependent on the service admins, and doesn't actually stop people from sending me annoying junk-mail.
No, I don't. In fact, their wikipedia page shows activity up to 2022
The Twilight Zone episode was Shatner, the Twilight Zone movie was Lithgow. Both are great and worth a watch
The Bernie-to-Trump pipeline is real. They both promised to shake things up, but the Democrats decided that they'd rather promote Trump, then let Bernie win. Most voters are sick of the status quo, but they don't know enough of the details, and vote for whichever candidate promises to fix things.
They like Trump because he promises change. They also like Bernie because he also promises change. But for the last three elections, the Democrats have run status-quo politicians that keep telling the voters everything is fine. And the voters aren't having it.
Now we have a chance to point out the direction that the Democrats need to turn to if they want to actually win.
