So how is that fake? I can't do any of those things you mention in the first paragraph.

Getting loans based on assets is not at all the same as selling those assets.

Hasn't Kia turned their reputation around in the past decade or so? I feel like them and Hyundai used to be the butt of every shitty car joke, but they're not that bad these days from what I understand.

It adjusts temperature (can heat OR cool and in some versions it can heat one side and cool the other) and I think the even more expensive version can morph a bit to your liking, and according to them, reduce snoring.

You don't need the internet to do those things though

No, but those two things have been such a massive driver for Linux adoption, that it isn't really relevant.
