That tweet quoted in the article from Sanders during the Biden presidency...chef's kiss

Your inference is bullshit. You don't know anything about what this person does or believes

What exactly makes me a "sucker" in this situation?

I'm on cheap Google Fiber. It's been $70/mo since we first got it about 6-7 years ago. Before that, AT&T and Time Warner had a duopoly in my area, and getting to tell them to go fuck themselves was the sweetest day of my life. They are awful businesses who treat their staff and customers like shit while delivering inferior service. I've rarely had a problem with Google Fiber, and if there's downtime, they give you a prorated discount. Customer service is really easy to access, also, vs waiting on hold or in person in line with the other ISPs.

First thing I thought. Even after today, the S&P 500 is down 5% on the month and 10% since Trump took office

At a more basic level, this is likely another manifestation of Trump's narcissistic personality disorder. He genuinely cannot conceive of sacrifice, service, or giving of himself, he's only interested in what he can take from you, whether that's money, reputation, or adoration. Now it's playing out on the global stage

This whole situation is just embarrassing and scary, as is the entire Trump presidency, but I'd like to point out that the US exports a fuckton of goods and services around the world. At least, the US used to export a fuckton of goods and services around the world.

So basically everything the US imports from China is going to suddenly cost 84% more. I'm really struggling to see Trump's end game here, because when domestic inflation inevitably gets out of control, the populace is going to get angry and he's going to become deeply unpopular.

The only two possibilities are 1.) He's purposefully wrecking the US economy, either to end US global hegemony and appease the Russians or to appease the tech billionaires and Heritage Foundation-types who want to destroy the federal government, or 2.) He's a moron who doesn't understand even basic economics

Unfortunately for our entertainment, her Facebook profile has been entirely purged of her MAGA history.

I view this as positive change. Why do you think she'd delete all those posts? If someone changes their mind about Trump, or realizes they've made a mistake, you need to respect them and celebrate them. Rubbing it in their face or trying to make them feel like shit is not going to accomplish anything productive

I just couldn't disagree more. Finland doesn't have to actually do anything different. Telling Trump how great he is in private can get him off your back entirely, because he's a narcissist. All he cares about is whether or not someone likes him. There's absolutely nothing about this meeting that "just confirms Finland won’t be a major obstacle to his plan and/or Finland will just go along with it."
