While true, 568m is a significant cost of doing business. Also remember that a punitive action should not make the company go bankrupt, it should make them rethink.

And if they don't, the fines will go higher, until they do rethink.

Given they were caught, it's actually NOT how you get ants.

Can you share some details? If there's anything sensitive, you can ping me on Matrix.

I'll take pessimist takes on technology over calling everything porn any day.

Hey, not so fast, now we're gonna take 5 years to decide whether we want to actually launch a 10 year discussion about being world leaders.

Just tell them they won't be getting those sweet Euros from the EU, that worked every time so far.

Not that I wouldn't welcome UK back (under equal conditions to all new-joiners, of course), speed-running is not something EU is capable of. Nor is UK. They will not like having to accept the same deal everyone else has to when they had a lot of exceptions for everything. It will take ages before some kind of agreement is reached.

Yuck. Even if I ignored economy, Trump and everything political, US food is pure shit compared to European food.

Finally, I've been waiting for this.

I was calling it even before he went into office. Two facts:

  • he tried to take over the gov by force
  • he can't be elected again after the current term

The conclusion of what's gonna happen when the next elections should come is really simple. Not what exactly he'll do, but definitely the general direction he's gonna follow.

Good luck! I did the same recently. I wrote my own blog system, though. I can share it with you, but I'm not sure it's the best for anyone else, there were some shortcuts taken given I did not intend to share it.

You can check out my blog and let me know whether you want to try it: https://chrastecky.dev/ (or federated: !programming@chrastecky.dev, !3d-printing@chrastecky.dev, !gaming@chrastecky.dev).

Who would have guessed it?

We've released a new GUI version which brings two important changes:

  • Synchronizing from Lemmy blocklist to your Fediseer censure list - you now don't have to rewrite the domains manually and can import them with a single click
  • Multiple accounts support - if you have multiple instances, you can now switch between all your Fediseer accounts easily.

There have also been many bugfixes and small enhancements in previous release, as usual, read the Changelog if you're interested in details.

Quite a lot has changed since the last time I posted about the GUI!

Here's a non-exhaustive list of new features:

  • synchronization between Fediseer and Lemmy
  • synchronization between Fediseer and Mastodon
  • hesitations (basically milder version of censures) are supported
  • action log
  • evidences / receipts

This is only a short list of some notable features, but I don't want to exhaust you, if you're interested, for a full list of changes you can go to https://github.com/RikudouSage/FediseerGUI/releases.

I've created a Fediseer frontend that's easy to use!
