Where you intend to stay is part of the questioning when you enter and they can get quite suspicious if you don't have a plan. Source: An Austrian, white friend of mine who went to the US. He also just wanted to travel around but was warned in advance (by other, mostly white europeans) that he shouldn't state that when asked. It's just not worth the risk.

While that's not the same as having to show hotel bookings for the whole stay, it is a thing travelers have had to worry about for quite some time now. I'm sure it's worse and more complicated for anyone of color.

Might sound silly, but every once in a while, random guys around me (pretty short, female) start humming/making random noises when they get near me, usually when I'm alone. Imagine me standing at a red traffic light at night or something. It's never women. Sometimes, it's some creep trying to get my attention, though that's usually kinda obvious.

But I also had it happen with guys who didn't seem like they wanted anything. I lowkey suspect that some might make noises so that I'm not caught off guard or something?

Any men on here who do this? Or am I just tripping?

Edit to summarize: So, a few guys apparently do it on purpose, while others think they might do it subconsciously. Some do it around women, others around whomever, since anyone can get scared. Super interesting.

Also, when I spoke of creeps, I meant actual assholes who did and said shitty stuff, not random socially awkward people. You know the drill.

Probably, but I'd only believe that there is really nothing to be done once I see someone actually left-leaning attempt everything in their toolbox.

I believe Sanders would have tried to change as much as possible in the US. I also believe that he would have failed regarding a lot of things. Would have really liked to see him try though.

I get it and I don't disagree, but- Well, I for one wouldn't mind some radical change. Just not in the direction that it is going right now. Radical in itself is nothing bad, when the status quo is as bad as it is.

I mean, I was super curious what Sanders could've done if he had the chance. Instead, we got the opposite experiment.

If democrats in the US vote for stuff like Biden, then they're not voting for any radical change. Trump isn't comparable to that.
