I like stranger than fiction, but still don't like him in it. My exception for him is Mugatu
Yeah in my experience I've been able to use regular texts, discord or signal instead. People will accept at least one most of the time

Mint if you like windows, Ubuntu if you like Mac.
Or whatever else looks interesting. Try a couple. It's not hard to just replace it with another if you don't like it. Most of them are easy to run off a USB stick to try out first too
