If I create a new torrent, does CGNAT (carrier-grade network address translation) prevent me from being an initial seeder of that torrent? I've made test torrents before and noticed that none of them seemed to be downloadable. Seeding the test torrents on a VPS of mine with a public IP has surprisingly worked before.

I can download and upload in my torrent client just fine, so I know my ISP isn't (intentionally) blocking and firewalling torrents.

“I told Director Kash Patel that the FBI has names of 20 men to whom Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women and girls,” Massie wrote on X. “This basic fact seemed to surprise him. Why?

“Is the FBI withholding those names to protect the President’s rich and powerful friends?” Massie continued, before demanding that the administration “release the Epstein files.”

Massie has been fighting for the release of more documents related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased pedophilic sex trafficker with connections to the rich and powerful, including President Donald Trump.

“I believe that Trump is trying to protect rich and powerful people who are his friends, and that is why this material is not getting released,” Massie told CNN last week.

Even Patel ferociously argued for the total release of the Epstein files—before he formally entered the Trump administration. Months before Patel’s name was floated to run the bureau, Patel had told podcaster Benny Johnson that he believed the documents were being shielded from public view because of “who’s on that list.” During his confirmation hearing, the 45-year-old swore there would be “no stone left unturned” in the quest to make the Epstein files completely transparent.

But it all came to a head during a heated House Oversight Hearing Wednesday, when members of the lower chamber forced the bureau chief to confront the incongruencies between his prior stances and his recent lagging actions.

“This spring, you ordered hundreds of agents to pore over all of the Epstein files, but not to look for more clues about the money network, or the network of human traffickers,” said Representative Jamie Raskin. “You pulled these agents from their regular counterterrorism or drug trafficking duties to work around the clock—some of them sleeping at their desks—to conduct a frantic search to make sure Donald Trump’s name and image were flagged and redacted wherever they appeared.”

Raskin then highlighted a July memo from the bureau, in which Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi determined “no further disclosure” regarding the Epstein files and the FBI’s investigation “would be necessary or appropriate.”

Trump is openly directing the Justice Department to go after his political adversaries, adding to a sense of unease inside the department about job security and ethical obligations.

Even in an era of nonstop social media posts, Trump's weekend update stopped many government attorneys in their tracks. The president said he wanted to see justice served.

"We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility," he wrote.

What Trump said couldn't wait are criminal investigations of his most prominent critics: former FBI Director Jim Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff.

The EU-Indonesia deal reportedly includes a zero tariff for palm oil within a limited quota. Fournier regrets that this concession by Brussels will likely “not be linked to sustainability requirements.”

Looking at Amazon, Aliexpress, even Walmart, there's a lot of products that aren't what they claim, such as lying about the capacity of batteries. Customers have to figure these things out for themselves and 'metagame' the system.

I don't think this should be allowed, but what are your thoughts?

"We didn’t wait 20 years for Bobby to finally speak and then get served Tylenol as an answer," anti-vaccine group Georgia Coalition for Vaccine Choice wrote in an unhinged Facebook post on Monday morning. "If that's all we hear - is that the end? Not thimerosal. Not aluminum. Not MMR. Not Hep B. Not the insane schedule pushed after pharma got liability protection. Are we supposed to just forget?"

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the administration of President Trump announced on Saturday that it will end a longstanding annual food insecurity survey, calling it "redundant, costly, politicized, and extraneous."

The Household Food Security Report provides yearly data on the lack of access to adequate nutrition for low-income Americans, and helps shape policy on how to combat food insecurity and hunger.

The USDA's announcement comes after Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law this summer, which expands the work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. This, in effect, will leave an estimated 2.4 million Americans without food aid.

The Supreme Court on Monday said it will decide whether Trump can fire members of the Federal Trade Commission without cause, taking up a dispute that tests the president's removal power and could weaken protections enacted by Congress that aim to insulate independent agencies from political pressure.

The high court said in a brief order that it will also allow Mr. Trump to fire Rebecca Kelly Slaughter from her position at the FTC while it considers the case. It will hear arguments in its December session, and its stay will remain in place until it issues a decision.

Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented from the majority's decision to allow Slaughter's removal.

New reconstructions of 540 million years of climate history show the planet tumbling between icehouse and hothouse states, revealing how rare and vulnerable our temperate moment is.

After many decades of often thankless effort — desert fieldwork in rusting 4×4s and sediment coring on the heaving seas; endless grant writing and rejection letters; hours spent cataloging specimens and writing monographs now yellowing in forgotten university file cabinets; ages in the lab fussing over gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers; and, more recently, Red Bull–powered late nights coding in R or coaxing deep convolutional neural networks and advanced climate models — we can now see our planet’s climate history with more clarity and insight than ever before.

What it adds up to is the biography of Earth in the age of animal life.

For anybody wondering what is going on with $CANCER live stream... my life was saved for whole 24 hours untill someone tuned in my stream and got me to download verified game on Steam

After this I was drained for over 32,000$ USD of my creator fees earned on pumpdotfun and everything quickly changed. I can't breathe, I can't think, im completely lost on what is going to happen next, can't shake the feeling that it is my fault that I might end up on street again or not have anything to eat in few days... my heart wants to jump out of my mouth and it hurts.

I won't rewatch this myself but I have added a clip from the stream after I noticed what has happened.

also I have succesfully (CTOed) my creator rewards and they have been redirected to safe device.

Yesterday a video game streamer named rastalandTV inadvertently livestreamed themselves being a victim of a cryptodraining campaign.

This particular spearphishing campaign is extraordinarily heinous because RastaLand is suffering from Stage-4 Sarcoma and is actively seeking donations for their cancer treatment. They lost $30,000 of the money which was designated for their cancer treatment. In the steam clip their friend tries to console them while they cry out, "I am broken now."

They were contacted by an unknown person who requested they play their video game demo (downloadable from Steam). In exchange for RastaLand playing their video game demo on stream, they would financially compensate them.

Unfortunately, the Steam game was actually a cryptodrainer masquerading as a legitimate video game.

Through unfortunate circumstances I have lost a lot of meme files I had saved over the years. I am currently searching for memes regarding Michael Parenti and his endless battle against microphones. Any that you good comrades could proved to me would be greatly appreciated. Today I had a friend who has been learning his communism, unprompted by memes, ask me, "So, is it just me, or does Parenti seem to have a lot of trouble with microphones." And it saddens me I did not have my memes folder.

Thank you comrades.

New type of detector enables deeper understanding of the universe

The underground “Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO)” near Jiangmen city in the Guangdong Province, which was prepared with the participation of researchers from the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), has successfully completed the filling of its 20,000 tons of liquid scintillator and begun data taking. After more than a decade of preparation and construction, JUNO is the first of a new generation of very large neutrino experiments to reach this stage. Initial trial operation and data taking show that key performance indicators met or exceeded design expectations, enabling JUNO to tackle one of this decade’s major open questions in particle physics: the ordering of neutrino masses—whether the third mass state (ν₃) is heavier than the second (ν₂).

He literally proposed a wealth cap for which a single person can hold, minimum wage before it was a thing (the minimum wage was first introduced in 1938 for those who did not know). So, he went against capitalism in a way which doesn’t even exist in China today. Even in China, there is no wealth cap or something close to it. For example, Bernie Sanders wants to increase taxes in order to provide more public services which means he is not going against capitalism but only increasing taxes. Why isn't anyone doing this now and go against the establishment? Why doesn't anyone try going out of the boundries of capitalism?
