A mysterious data center company has drawn the ire of local residents in Ohio. They voice concerns about the impact on their water supply, noise pollution, and rising energy costs — and criticize the secrecy around the 600-acre project. The shadowy developer, a Delaware-registered LLC, appears to be a front for one of the largest tech companies on earth: Meta.

I have been seeing periodic drops in internet access from LAN connected devices lately (last 2 months), and I haven't been able to figure about exactly what is going on. There doesn't seem to be a pattern, and it resolves itself after a few hours.

  • I can access the internet from my router
  • All devices on LAN can reach each other, both wired and WiFi
  • All devices on LAN can reach router, both wired and WiFi
  • I haven't changed anything in router settings
  • I haven't added new devices to my local network
  • I can't find any IP conflicts
  • It's a simple flat network with two APs, a single switch, no VLAN separation

Hey guys, Any help trying to identify what is wrong with this one?

The first layer was pretty flawless except for the top-right side, where it looked kind of grainy. Maybe the plate needed cleaning on that side, but generally the adhesion is solid.

I was away while the second layer was printing, but apparently it failed and it looks like shit. When I got back, it was air-printing, still on the second layer as far as I can tell. However it seems like the nozzle was causing some of the artifacts to form, like maybe it was hitting the first layer or something? I am not sure.

This is on a Bambu A1 mini, with Bambu matte filaments. It is on a brand-new 0.2 nozzle, first print just out of the package. And the reason I got the nozzle was that I had some maybe similar failures before, where my previous nozzle seemed like was showing signs of clogging - i tried some cold and hot pulls, I could do some prints but some where failing so I thought to take this part out of the equation.

Any ideas what maybe could have caused something like this? The filament? I had tried drying it a while ago i believe, I can try again and I got a brand new one as well, but I wouldn't believe so because the first layer seems pretty good at the beginning. Could the plate maybe being dirty have caused buildup of crap on the nozzle and lead to a failure? Could it be something I can try maybe with the Z axis (although I have no experience with this? I did another calibration now though). I had read about AMS tubes as potential reason, but not sure how to tell. Any ideas what to check?

For reference I am trying to print something similar to this in different colors. I have already done 4 prints in other colors successfully.

Russia’s Digital Development Ministry has asked the country’s largest online platforms to block access for users with active VPNs by April 15, sources told the Russian business outlet RBC.

Ministry head Maksut Shadaev delivered the demand at a private meeting with representatives from more than 20 companies on March 30, according to sources close to those companies. One source said April 15 is “not a D-Day, but more of a target date.”

Under the plan, companies would receive a specific list of VPN IP addresses previously identified by Roskomnadzor, Russia’s federal censorship agency, to use for blocking. Participants in the meeting were also given a manual describing how to independently detect and block VPNs, including those Roskomnadzor has not yet identified or restricted.

Platforms would be required to share information about newly detected VPNs with the regulator so it can add them to a master blocking list covering all services. “Essentially, this is a fight against VPNs using the platforms’ own resources and their advanced technical tools,” one of RBC’s sources said.

Do you take your coffee seriously? Me, I'm a fanatic.

I started off with a Mr. DRIPSALOTTADRIP pre-college days. We'll skip the wild college years. And the first marriage. Then, having learned about cooking beans, humidity levels at harvest time, how much sweat/tears went into the early stages of the product (Fair Trade and such), I arrived at an Italian Lamborgenie, Contouth model where your rear window (water reservoir) is... shit, where's the window?

I had proper coffee now. This was the cobblestone kinderkuppa I stood on.

Track forward the next 12 years, black pearls of wisdom, more Genies and Pressure Cookers from Italy and The Netherlands, and you will have arrived at my most aromatic, captivating cuppa feeh I've ever created. The acidity- mwah! Tasting notes- I'd say Earthy and with a hint of calcium.

Look away, faint-of-hearts, and you lot of scumsipping teabaggers, THIS - IS - COFFEE and you bet your bottom pocket lint you can't duplicate or mass produce it for consumerism.

Needs a name for my coffee manifesto. Rage Against the Grinding? Spill it, my fellow coffee deviants and aficionados. Name it.

MEPs have sharply criticized the plan. “Our fear is that the implementation of our laws and standards will be called into question by American companies,” criticizes Green MEP Sergey Lagodinsky, for example. “If this is confirmed, it would be nothing less than a capitulation to the pressure and intimidation tactics of the Trump administration.” The EU Commission repeatedly emphasizes that it does not want to change its regulations due to US pressure. However, some of the recently proposed changes in digital legislation, particularly to the AI Act and the General Data Protection Regulation, primarily benefit US companies that are already dominant in the market.
