But they are peddling a toxic behaviour of unnecessary and uninhibited consumption.

All are tall models with shit efficiency.

Yes, and yet it is still so very far from reality when it comes to BEVs. It's fine when comparing cars because it's a well defined standard, but it's terrible at indicating actual range especially if you don't live in dry warm climate.

This truck is also a BEV, didn't say it wasn't. I'm saying go buy a BEV that's not a truck (and they all have better efficiency than trucks) that has a tow hitch instead of this if you're just commuting.

Battery Electric Vehicle

Don't buy a truck if you're just a daily commuter, that's just plain dumb. Get a BEV with much better efficiency and a tow hitch for the occasional needs.

That's not 150 miles of actual driving range, it's more like 75-100miles of actual range.

Traffic fines are made to bankrupt drivers or to finance the state, but to encourage people to drive safely.

Yeah that really depends on location...in Denmark the minimum fine for speeding is 160€, and that's if you're just more than 3kmph above limit...it just increases from there and ends with something like a 1000€ fine and them withdrawing your drivers licence (a new licence is going to set you back 2000€). If you're above 100% speeding the take the car too.

That's not going to be enough...the dude claimed "coast to coast" autonomous driving capabilities "by end of the year" back in 2016.

...Until they suddenly don't anymore

There are charging stations with 40 chargers delivering +200kW each, they're powered by HV lines directly to transformers located at the charging stations. But most (all?) BEVs are only near max charging power for a fairly short period of time, and full occupation is also not seen very often. These large stations (and smaller too) are managed by load sharing, so in the theoretical case that 40 cars arrive exactly at the same time with perfectly prepared battery temperature and SoC and all connect at exactly the same time, they will just be capped by the chargers so the station doesn't exceed available power spec.

I currently have two TVs, one I use an appleTV with and the other with a googleTV HD (device formerly known as Chromecast), but they both have issues.

The jellyfin app on appleTV is messed up, it fucks up audio and subs all the time, and in general has a hard time with media that has multiple audio tracks, not using the audio I select with the remote.

The googleTV just stutters with almost everything, direct stream or transcoded doesn't matter. All of my library is just 1080p, I have proper wifi to it, all mobile devices stream just fine.

So neither of these provide me with a solution that really works.

What solutions can you recommend, that allows for seamless navigation of jellyfin with my remote? I don't want anything resembling a mouse/keyboard combo for navigation whatsoever.
