In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

I emphasized the key word there. There is no guarantee in civil or other courts (which sucks - try finding a divorce lawyer once your ex saps the bank account lol).

Wendy William’s bank has her in a conservatorship.

How does anyone see what he did to his house and think, that man is able to take care of himself?

I’ve heard that some of it is probably NO2 abuse under the care of one of his doctors. I think he started going off the rails after his mother died.

Yeah, as a trans person around children, I do awful things like use my influence to encourage children to spend more time taking walks in nature and teach young boys that girls are humans too.

Truly equivalent to the influence of Andrew Tate.

It’s not your job. It is rewarding in and of itself though.

The great part about Boys and Girls Clubs or being a CASA or face painting at a festival etc is that you don’t have to raise them. The undivided attention of adult who seems to genuinely like and care about them for like 15 minutes is the kind of shit that changes kids lives.

I’m not saying “organize community talks at your local library about positive masculinity” or “become a Big” but - maybe a cousin says something shitty at dinner, and you bring it up gently in a chat? Or be a positive role model in spaces where you encounter young men: in video games, on forums, outside…

The best way to create a society where men are allowed to cry and express their emotions is to teach boys and young men these things are okay.

"In a secondary English class last year, a group of boys opted, despite discouragement, to write a persuasive essay on why Andrew Tate is the GOAT (greatest of all time) which included praise of his view that women are a man's property... all of the parents were contacted and were appalled."

When I worked in a middle school a couple years back, I heard the Tate shit there. Had a student who would name their Kahoot something like “[female students name] has a nice ass” and administration would refuse to allow me to impose consequences.

If you are around teen boys, please talk to them about Tate. He’s not someone who should be walking free, and he’s not someone children should be listening to.

gives excessive gifts

Huge red flag. Becomes a tool of control (I was married into a wealthy family.)

The big thing is that they can change their personality after marriage - once you are trapped. There were red flags there, which I shouldn’t have ignored, but it was like night and day.

Mine started getting interested in stuff like religion - noticed that his pastor friend got to play WoW all day while the wife basically did everything.

Biden and several other politicians have been denied communion for not being anti abortion.

Vance’s Catholicism is the kind of loser tradcath shit an atheist kid from 4chan converts to for the aesthetic and misogyny anyway.

Yeah - the real freaks left because moot dated like Brianna Wu or something stupid and weird like that. 8chan was the place for a bit.

4chan is owned by an anime figma company at the moment - i think Nendroid?

The euphemism treadmill.

(I think the conversation here is more about etymology than entomology)

“Sped” is often how teachers refer to special education now too. I was a “sped teacher” for a bit. Referring to a child as “sped” would be gross and dehumanizing, but I think referring to a “sped class” isn’t considered pejorative.

It’s weird how worked up people get about “political correctness.” If you call someone ‘r-tarded’ you’re doing it to upset them, and you are also communicating that the status of having an intellectual disability is so degrading to be considered an insult. I’ve worked with lots of intellectually disabled adults and children - I don’t know that I would want to compare those people I loved and cared for to someone that I would want to insult.

The InfoWars forums might be a more welcoming place for you. It’s a paradise where you don’t have to ever read anything and “lol, Australia has colllej???” might actually find stupid enough people to land.
