A 30% drop in employment is plenty to destroy a town.
On average, every household loses one source of income. That town is dead.
that would destroy a country if it was country wide too, 25% is enough to cause a massive downturn.
Here’s hoping the next Republicans they happily vote for (again) will finally fix the problems.
we also dont produce alot of beef for consumption, its mostly imported. the ones from usa are poor quality anyways.
USA is a net importer of beef but for the opposite reason you say. The USA imports meat cuts and trimmings to make cheap ground meat and exports steaks and higher quality meat.
