MAGA are the high-flying Globetrotters posterizing everyone on the court. The Democratic professional class — politicians, pundits, think tankers, and operatives — are the Washington Generals, paid a lot of money to be pantsed.

Do they? Hey can you settle a bet with me and @FauxLiving about how many Democrats support ICE?

Would you say it’s all of them, or like, half of them or what?

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

i dunno the amt but those in office who are not actively calling out ice and passing or attempting to pass laws to control them are doing so because they support them.

dem / rep / liberal / conservative - it’s all right wing politics.

Yeah, not knowing the amount is kind of my point; I'm trying to show @FauxLiving that people don't know.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

it’s not a zero amount. which is the point.

  1. It’s 7. One of whom has apparently issued a mea culpa for all the nothing that’s worth.

Still, can’t pass up the chance to shit on the Dems as a party.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

shitting on parties is what a good american does. remember: dem and rep are both supporting of genocide and capital. both deserve shit.

Sure but around here the republicans can’t get arrested. 100% of Rs support fascism, 2% of Dems do and what’s everyone frothing about?

Yeah. It gets old especially after fucking up the chance we had to avoid all this.

Only 2% of Democrats support Israel?

The seven Democrats who voted alongside the majority of Republicans to push forward the bill are Representatives * Tom Suozzi (New York), * Henry Cuellar (Texas), * Don Davis (North Carolina), * Laura Gillen (New York), * Jared Golden (Maine), * Vicente Gonzalez (Texas), * Marie Glusenkamp Perez (Washington).

Enough of the ones in seats that they vote to continue funding it.

So take a guess - . . . 25? 8? 122? 70?

Did you read that? Because that’s not a thing.

I’m talking about funding. Not decrying attacks on Israel.

But I digress from your pointless lefty masturbation. Fap on.

Do you not find it suspicious that 7 Dems voted to continue funding the DHS? The exact number needed to pass the bill? Dem leadership can talk big game about not supporting ICE or how dissapointed they are, but when they publicly announce they aren't going to whip votes for no, it does feel like the Dem leadership is tacitly supporting ICE.

They needed a simple majority. They could have done with 2 less votes and still passed it.

but when they publicly announce they aren't going to whip votes for no, it does feel like the Dem leadership is tacitly supporting ICE.

Yeah Jeffries is big time fucking up. Needs to be primaried. But no one here is going to vote Democrat so no one here will primary him, right? Y'all know this is in November yeah?
