One one hand it's police evicting someone with cancer, on the other it's a $1.9 million mansion so impossible to say if it is good or not.
It's not outlandish for a retiree to live in a house that costs 22 times the mean annual earnings.
That old man could've sold his home and had enough money from that to pay for about half of his cancer treatment.
how does a homeowner get evicted?
Foreclosure?
It's semantic but if you're paying a mortgage you're not truly a 'homeowner' even if its your name on the deed
Regardless if he was fully paid off it could be a property tax or eminent domain issue
How utterly turbo fucked does a society have to be that an elderly cancer patient gets evicted for medical debt from a fucking mansion?
At worst it just becomes "let them fight"
the bees should take the mansion, obv
