TIL Australia has mandatory voting!
No online voting but postal votes, early voting centres, call in voting for the disabled, and plenty and accessible voting centres are all very good things to keep our democracy healthy.

And democracy sausages!
You can vote online if you're overseas. I know because I did it like a decade ago while sitting in a Madrid airport lounge, having only just discovered that an election was happening. It was a local council one though.
Well you can’t vote in the federal election online.

Local and (some?) state elections, sure. I voted in the NSW state election online while living in London, after having unknowingly missed voting in the previous one while in Tokyo, thereby having the state revenue service after me when I got home months later 😅
Federal still requires you to rock up to a polling place (usually the embassy), or postal vote.
Yeah nah. Sorry.

"Can I vote online?
No."
Annoyingly the official AEC site just says voting is closed so I can't link you to the canonical answer
