Elon Musk is not a "political shithead" he is a primary reason why we don't have better forms of transportation, and it's worth pointing it out every single time. Also, aren't virtually all of the infrastructure issues that exist that make cars such a prevalent force in our society almost entirely predicated on politics? Was Robert Moses not motivated by his own politics? But was it not his policies that essentially birthed the modern hostility to humans that urban areas have?

he is the sole reason for trashing fast rail in california, long enough for trumps 1st term elaine chao to block funding which delayed things for like 5+years, and even now its being half-assed.

Politics is the way we make decisions that affect more than three people.

Anything that affects society is politics. Even choosing to not do something is politics.

Yeah, the whole hyper loop scam [1] he invented was to kill high speed rail in California. Fuck him.

[1] just see it in Las Vegas all out is a tunnel for cars that you pray there's no accident because of fire starts you are stuck and can't escape.

Elon Musk is why America doesn't have 5 minute cities and rail transport? He's only been politically active for a handful of years dude

He's all sorts of bad, and was put in charge of gutting the government, but his year or two with the ear of the president has nothing on the previous 90 years of damage

Before he was "politically active" he was a billionaire making his money off of selling cars. One of the way he achieved that was by buying up contracts for high-speed rail projects and then not building them, or turning them into an entirely different car-centric thing (like his tunnel in vegas). Elon Musk didn't SUDDENLY become a piece of shit when Trump was elected, he took advantage of that fact to be a bigger piece of shit.

So Yeah. He is. Or at least one of them.
