Weirdly there aren't enough dedicated voters or candidates to primary them either.
Shows just how rigged the system is against the average person. We can see from Mamdani that you need an exciting candidate first and foremost, then the voter support comes after naturally. People need to feel excited to vote in a system where they feel their voices aren't being heard.
Yeah I'm sorry that's bullshit.
More boring candidates, please. Mamdani is an outlier in a super blue city.
This isn't a fucking Super Bowl halftime show, this is boring shit and it should be boring.
"The candidate wasn't exciting enough" has never, and will never, be a legitimate excuse for not voting for someone.
Low information and low political engagement people do need someone who excites them to get off the couch and vote.
The type of people who live for personal drama and excitement.
Nobody is talking about legitimate excuses, we're talking about reality, and the reality is that Kamala starts losing momentum the moment she stops being exciting to the average voter when she pivots to cater more to the right wing voters and her donors.
Mamdani won from being 1% of the polls due to being exciting, which inspired his voter base to go door to door and spread his message. You're also still spreading the lie that a progressive win is only possible in a super blue cities when Platner has already proved that an exciting progressive candidate can make headway even in a purple states? I think your views are outdated at this point.
Also, I don't know why you keep attacking progressive politics despite the fact that your country is already tearing itself apart due to the decades of status quo politics rotting it from the inside out. Be ready to change if you want to stop the death spiral your country is currently in or get out of the way of people who wants to make a change.
If people need to feel excited about getting involved in their own civic self interest then people deserve trump and republicans.
The same can be said about people like you who'd rather feel smug about the issue instead of bringing in actual change by looking at reality.
No it can't. You can judge people that vote against their self interests. Not so much those of us telling you you're voting against your self interest.
Nah, I can judge people who doesn't help to improve the situation. At such critical times, people like you brings plenty of harm to the situation.
Says the guy trying to get republicans elected.
I really think you just have reading comprehension problems. From my point of view, you're the one helping Republicans destroy the US.
"From my point of view it's the Jedi who are evil" kinda dumbass take.
Quoting a fantasy story as a form of political discourse? Shows just how serious you are at fixing the problem. You people are still living in the fantasy that your country is not going down the drain, no doubt due to being exposed to too much pop culture that you lost sight of reality.
Going on and on about winning the right way through the enlightenment of the average voter, which is never gonna happen given the state of your education system, means you're simply giving the Republicans free reign to destroy the country from right under your nose.
