Then maybe the people spreading this meme should be a bit more specific with their messaging, because all I’m hearing is “CEO bad” - and yeah, I feel somewhat threatened by that, since technically it applies to me too, even though I don’t really consider myself one in practice.
If I got murdered and the headline read “CEO killed,” I can easily imagine the cheering in places like Lemmy, where nuance often seems to go out the window.
Bro, nuance is for serious discussion and Monty Python sketches, not cheap jokes like OP.
It's funny that you're complaining about a lack of nuance when being completely unable to discern it yourself based on your reaction to the meme.
What’s the nuance I’m supposedly missing here? I’ve criticized the “ACAB” slogan before and asked people directly if they truly mean every single cop without exception - and more than once, the answer has been yes. So excuse me if I’m not feeling especially charitable in how I interpret a meme that’s already completely unreasonable to begin with, no matter how you read it.
