It is exhausting to hear "this isn't the country I grew up in" 55 years after the Attica Prison Riots.

I'm less than fifty five years old I grew up not hearing about prison riots this is terrible please make me stop hearing about this

What are you getting at? This country was designed to be an oligarchy, and it still is one. That's hardly surprising.

That we've been a fascist police state for far longer than liberals are comfortable accepting.

The scale has changed. The practices have always been here.
