People don't use baby powder for that. Its just a excuse cops came up with when they got in trouble for busting shoplifters. I did research into it and the only claims come from cops. Also it doesn't account for the other baby food and diapers found in these "busts" but I think they were also trying to claim it was drug related.
Me when I'm a cop and I've accidentally discharged my service weapon 18 times (including a reload) into a kindergarten: "uhhh I tactically ascertained that these future terrorists were smuggling dihydrogen monoxide in their veins and I made the lawful decision to relieve them of their illicit goods"

Baby powder wouldn't make a good cut, but a street level dealer is generally using themselves and pretty heavily and people on coke like to try weird shit. Im sure it is done and im also sure the cops lie about it being a common thing, cause it certainly isn't, that shit would gum up in your nostrils for one. Chances are the ones trying this arent lifting the baby powder, its people with babies and no money. I could see the fact that its kinda cakey being used to make a crack rock look a bit bigger.
Yeah, starch or microcrystalline cellulose is usually what they use as filler. Sometimes they even add stimulants like caffeine. But baby powder/milk powder has the wrong colour & texture for a filler.
You are talking about a good coke dealer. They are people who sell to bad coke dealers who do a lot of coke and get desperate. Its for sure been done. Baby laxative being a common cut and a powder has led to this on 2 occasions that I know of personally.
Oh, I just figured because where I'm from cocaine is for rich assholes (it comes halfway across the world from Latin America), so I assumed they'd not want to cut it with too much stuff for their customers. Thanks for the perspective.
It's still really expensive and getting good quality is both difficult and costs a bundle where I am but its a college town so its easy to sell stepped on shit to kids who don't know better. Post covid even the crack has been crazy weak. Neither have an addictive draw to me aside from the wanting to do more while you're on it, but it never felt worth going to a bank and then calling a guy again for. For crack only the first hit is good. And it rules but just get a 2 hits worth and notice the second isnt that great and youll be less motivated, cause a second after it wears off is close to as good as the first and then you keep chasing

Its normally baby formula and powder. that is being talked about because that's what is often in these "busts" and the cops need to cover their ass. Cause that shit is expensive and there are a lot of reasons why a mom might need it and can't provide it. So there is a big shoplifting "issue" its why they put them in those anti theft cages and shit now. It's pretty gross.
