Switching to Apple with advanced data protection and HomeKit has been great for my big family. Way fewer tech support calls for me.

It was the most feasible option in the end. If it were just me, and I wasn’t raising kids and supporting aging parents, and working 50 hour work weeks, then I’d do graphene and home assistant. I’m just at a point that I want as much privacy as I can get for the least amount of maintenance.

That’s why I use the garbage. I was talked into it by my lunch group at work, who are sysadmin types, who switched for similar reasons.
