Onlookers fear ‘something very wrong’ with Trump

This is their threshold?

There has been something obviously "very wrong" with him for years. Decades, even.

Agreed. I assumed there was something very wrong with him during his first term.

In the 1980s, Trump always made Spy magazine's "Top 10 Worst People, Places or Things" list. His one "mitigating factor" was always "at least he's not in politics".

Any archived articles of this handy?

It’s RawStory. Effectively Newsmax for the left wing. Feel-good stories that hold essentially nothing binding them to reality. Best avoided.

A useful idiot still needs to be able to do things for you, win over the right people, set the tone of the room, be the distraction. If the useful idiot goes off of the rails, stops being taken seriously at all, you're left with just an idiot. They're worried they lost the useful part

The Republicans never really had control of him. I think they fear him dying on them and them not been able to hold MAGA together without his unique brand of genuine crazy.

Maybe next time they pick a puppet president they go with someone who knows the score, and isn't under the delusion they're in change.

That is the gamble with useful idiots though, sometimes they can surprise you.

I think the Republican party is getting increasingly concerned that what little control and manipulation they had on him is fading fast.

I also think they need to have someone who thinks they're in charge so they can project bravado and power to the undereducated base that is MAGA. No "strongman", no MAGA

I'm surprised more people didn't see him as a joke after commenting about his building being the tallest after 9/11
