Can we stop pretending Obama and his cabinet were the good guts, yet?
It's kinda silly to call any complex political party "the good/bad guys". Compared to the current administration of the US Obama looks like a shining knight on a unicorn. Geopolitically they did some damage too though. Libya says hi. All in all it's just too complicated to break it down to good/bad.
Either way this is just some guy who's speculating about AGI and it sounds like the usual AI company ad headline about how scary good and important their technology is. Is it though? AGI by next year, bro, we swear. Just one more datacenter, bro. China is winning the race, bro, please. A few more trillions and we'll get there, bro.
The US is not complex, if actions are taken to preserve the empire over the wellbeing of all, they are bad people.
There are only smart badguys and dumb badguys.
Evey admin committed horrible atrocities ti take other people's resources. They were all rotten.
Only because, unlike Donald, he didn't open his mouth about all the shitty things he was doing every hour of every day.
Obama was just as much of a motherfucker as Donald. He was just smart enough to make his pretty, generic speeches and otherwise keep his fucking mouth shut.

From a comparative standing:
Trump is clearly worse. Also more incompetent. Our grandkids will be recovering from his impact on the working class.
The only difference was presentation. That and, arguably Obama's corruption was worse considering his brain was actually functional.
As for 'both sides', might be a good time to ditch your thought-terminating cliches.

While Obama and Trump do have policy differences, their primary role is as facilitators of imperialism and maintenance of settler-colonialism. In that sense, that crucial, principal sense, both are deeply aligned, and as this is principal, it is the driving factor.
Or a bot. "The only difference was presentation." is a gemini-assed thing to say.
