The accusations of spying aren’t solely against LG. They also make a very important point that smart devices are often compromised.

AI-generated exploits also seem to make it much more practical to compromise devices easily.. Which is even more concerning since many small devices are not made for being updated after sale.

Paradoxically, this can potentially also make it much easier and more feasible for open source hackers to develop scripts that allows consumers to root their own devices, and disable their mal-features.
