They're not demons, we simply trapped some lightning and forced it through some ~~runes~~ circuits using our ~~incantations~~ programming. It's all perfectly mundane and not at all worth burning anyone at the stake.

They're not daemons, they're background processes. And don't mind the circuit boards that resemble mouths screaming in eternal agony forever trapped in silent slavery in an inescapable copper maze. It's just coincidence, probably.
