Some local hero around here has been stabbing ball point pens into the speakers on them.
Theyre smart to that already, most of the ad pumps I've run into have speakers hidden inside the housing that you can't access anymore, and the "bottom left button on the screen mutes the ad" trick is disabled.
At this stage I just boycott those stations, leave a 2 star review on Google and deal with paying an extra 15c a gallon a couple blocks away.

God i hope the gas machine ad venders are not actually billion dollar companies. I wonder whos responsible for the madness? What fucking jackass was like "How about screaming gas stations?" "Ya im talking about ear breaking ads!" and then packaged it up and sold it.
???? The gas station is the company. Of which all are multi billion mega corps that all have openly astroturfed and without denial decided to cause the species of human to end in return for taking the last remaining money from poors for their last death party alone with three hookers that no longer can even pretend to like them
Ah so the oil companies approached the advertisers and were like boy have we got an idea? All gas stations are not multi billion dollar companies lol, the last two local ones i saw change hands went for under $1M and they have local owners, only one had ads, and it was part of the new owners upgrades... so like that was a member of my community who replaced gas tanks to sell ads. It's clearly worth some money, and was not forced upon them.

Whats wrong. I was asking how all the gas pumps got ads. I was asking why some did not have ads. I responded to a comment by repeating my understanding of what they were trying to explain to me.

Why not walk on some railroad tracks until you find a railroad spike lying around?
Then you could take that spike and stab the screen. 8 screens taken out, and the gas station can't pump gas anymore. You'd think they get the message before they get to the 8th. If not? Oh well. Their loss.
And if the train gets you first, then the pain will be no more..

Why not just build your own dirty nuke from parts you got on the dark web and use it to wipe the city block containing the offending gas station off the map completely?

I don't like making my civil disobedience posts too easy for government web crawlers to understand. There are ways to discretely hurt electronics without hurting people or risk a fire.
I mean, I get that the bottom half is meant to be a taser of sorts with that cylinder thing being a common ready-to-go component, I just don't get what that giant loop of wire is meant to be doing. Is it an attempt at an EMP thing? Doubt this will do anything significant.
