Which don't? My whole, small, rural county has them at every pump.
Read that as "country" and was confused, because this is a very 'Murican thing. Not saying it doesn't exist at all elsewhere, just that it seems to be extremely common in the US and not so anywhere else. There would be riots in a lot of countries if they even tried this.

In my area it’s only the major chains. The privately owned ones don’t, but I think that’s just because their pumps are too old.
Oh. We have independently owned, but they play ads, too. I wonder if they get an incentive compensation for doing that.

My small rural town, which is clearly thee more smaller and ruraler than thou.... still has a 1970s style pump with the big flip up handles and you have to stop it yourself and the numbers are on a physical wheel that rolls. Better think twice before claiming rural there city boi!!
Rural town near me has 3 gas stations, and they all have them.
They're also all owned by the same guy and the prices are like 60-70 cents higher than any of the neighboring cities, but since it's 20 miles to a station he doesn't own he gets away with it.
Your rural towns have gas stations? Can you even call it rural at that point?
This guy gets it. But ya in fairness you have to have a post office to be considered an actual town. Delivery cars need gas stations. Your rural town is limited to 3 businesses one of which must be a gas station.
The gas station could be outside the town
We had a store like that, but it closed a couple of years ago. It was also the highest priced gas for the three closest stores.
Quicktrip doesn't have them, and I don't believe Casey's uses them.
