I’ve seen that particular conversation twice now as a matter of fact. I’m not the only one either.
There’s a lot of sexism and such that’s allowed to flourish here and no one says anything.
That’s why I say something now.
The only comments in here when I first came was people celebrating this woman abusing children.
"It's just a joke, bro" only goes so far these days.
This community is "Not The Onion@lemmy.world". It is not really for serious shit. If you don't recognize a comment saying "living her best life" about someone who is abusive towards kids as a non-serious comment, then sadly you need some sort of help getting the stick out of your butthole.
Also, just to be clear and make sure that you do not take this comment seriously: I do not mean that you have an actual stick inside your butthole. In fact, I have no opinion on your butthole, like at all.

I can't time travel. I won't see comments that are made later than mine as I type it in. And regardless of the certain oneway direction of time, I still wouldn't be responsible for any other comments that I didn't make.
Also, no. Get the gist of a "Crazy news from all over the world" community. I'm not going to put a "THIS IS A JOKE" in front of my obvious jokes. Some people on the very edge of the spectrum might not get it, but that's just a price I'm willing to pay.
29% of people who voted on your comment did not get it, and several neurotypical people have told you they don't get it. Lemmings have genuine extreme takes in nottheonion comments all the time: don't tell me you've never heavily disagreed with someone here before.
And that other op is still kinda defending their original comment too.

Sure it's NotTheOnion, but that doesn't make the articles posted here any less serious. I'd say this community highlights the downright absurdity that is modern society, but that doesn't mean the stories are lighthearted fun.
Yours was the only one I had seen actually saying something about the story in question when I first came across this thread.
It made me feel kinda gross that that was the first place most peoples' minds went to.
