the objective is to eliminate all remaining slivers of empathy in their cult followers. label "other" as less than human, and then derive enjoyment from watching them suffer/die
maga already think how they're told to think, believe what they're told to believe, fear who they're told to fear, hate who they're told to hate. last step is to call public executions "entertainment." it's not a huge leap to go from a murderer sentenced to death to...whoever they want, guilty or not. and the throngs of empty headed followers will cheer louder every time
The thing most people do not comprehend, is that MAGA, therefore the GOP, have been doing snuff livestreams for a very very long time. The invention of the television was exactly to provide the Pentagon direct photographic display of the war they are committing. US soldiers are trained this way, to be apathetic to the atrocities they commit. And that blood festival is already home. Pete is just making it extremely clear that the 2nd civil war, has already been won.

If I was a soldier, I sure as shit wouldn't want the dude next to me to start weighing the moral implications of shooting brown folks for capitalism. That's the kind of thing that gets you killed.
