Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

What car has a 40km battery. What car gets 650km range without filling up.
40km is the average actual charge on available PHEV's (including my Escape, which Ford has discontinued), because the NA market thinks PHEV's are a joke. Also would like to note I lost (according to Ford) ~18% of my range recently due to them using shit parts in their batteries.
The MHERO II coming in at some point has an electric range of 150km, which, for me, is actually useful.
There are no cars in NA that have a real-life range of 650km, at least under $100k. I know Tesla claims the Model 3 can, but I have strong doubts that's true, especially in the winter (plus I would never touch a Musk product). China has a few lines with ~700km range, that are cold-weather tested, though not sure if any of those are hitting the Canadian market at a reasonable price.
my hybrid gets 660km range.
Why complain about PHEV range when PHEVs are designed for typical commutes, not 150km. Sounds like your lifestyle is going to take a lot of gas money.
Your hybrid gets 660km with a full tank and full charge. I was discussing specifically the charged range, not fuel. I am complaining that there aren't any reasonable options currently available in Canada for me to reduce my fuel usage, and I am looking forward to there being better options soon.
My commute isn't by choice, the travel costs are just significantly lower than the cost to move somewhere better,,and my household income can't really support dropping everything and just going somewhere else.
