From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Can't help but laugh at you guys correcting literally the undisputed #1 software maintainer in the world. AI is just a tool - if you fail then it's a skill issue.

It’s fine to see Linus as a demi-god amongst programmers, but to think whatever he says is indisputable is just foolish.

It turns out I agree with his point-of-view here, but his is not the only valid one, and there is no way to evolve arguments and ideas without challenging them.

Linus is well-known for edgy and controversial points. He's undoubtedly a great programmer, but ultimately, he's human.

Appeal to authority. Linus was always a fucking moron.
