If I accept this guy, who was born by immaculate conception - instigated by his Father [who ALSO KILLED HIM] by way of an Angel - instead of just creating him - as he did THE REST of EVERYTHING ...... His Father, the all knowing, all seeing who LOVES ALL HIS CHILDREN will accept me into his kingdom. This guy, who made everything and is capable of everything and anything, who allows death and disease and war and suffering doesn't just make life easy for all of who he created. What bull.
I hate to be that guy because I pretty much agree...
But the immaculate conception refers to Mary's birth.

The Jefferson Bible is such a better take on n the story and how it takes the same story and turn it into a more down to earth guy who was like stop being stupid and quit following those old religion rules. You are hungry, in a field of food. It's stupid to not eat because some temple leaders tell us it's evil to eat today. Fuck those same guys who hold markets in that same temple. Be kind and do better people. The sick need help.
But who was Jefferson. Like he didn't do anything worth really understanding.... Unless you're interested in reading something that one of the greatest writers who has just as much impact on us as the other dude
