Palmer Luckey of Anduril is teaming with Ben Lamm of Colossal Biosciences to launch Warhound, a startup dedicated to genetically engineering and cloning dogs for service in war, police work and first responder work.

Speaking to Wired, Lamm explained that the project was twofold. One part of the project would oversee the genetic engineering and cloning of the ideal dogs for war, and the other would develop tech for them to use on battlefields.

just to be clear. I don't want them to die. no no. that's too easy.

I want them to move to a new house. and then that one burns down too.

I want them to be seen as a financial liability. accounts too hot to insure. hot enough to spontaneously combust. I want to watch as their fortunes are siphoned away from them again and again until they are nothing more than a forgotten memory.

that's what I want.
