He'll declare himself President in exile.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 101 points 5 days ago (5 children)

And the Untied States will invade Brazil to install him as president. I wish I was kidding and didn't see this as a real possibility

[–] Jiral@lemmy.world 33 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (8 children)

Brazil isn't Venezuela, much bigger, stronger institutions, stronger army etc. Never say never but you think Trump is eager on getting into another Iran war?

[–] seeeem@leminal.space 51 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Do you think Trump has the prefrontal cortex mass remaining for that level of critical thinking?

[–] Jiral@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago (1 children)

No, but maybe there are still some left in the Pentagon who have not been purged yet and some influence left.

[–] GreenBeard@lemmy.ca 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I wouldn't count on it. Kegsbreath will probably have his public execution if they resist.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 5 days ago

i suspect RUBIO would have a hardon in invading South america.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 3 points 5 days ago

He doesn't have the juice for that.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 5 days ago

no, it was destroyed by cocaine and adderall.

We all agree it would be monumentally stupid, that's exactly why we're worried trump will try it anyway.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 13 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Never say never but you think Trump is eager on getting into another Iran war?

I hate that this question doesn't have a clear an immediate answer as "of course not!". Because... yes, I can see pedohitler considering this to hide the disaster of Iran.

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

Lol! In two more steps he will be trading nuclear hits with France and the UK to distract the population from his earlier mistakes...

[–] impairedimperator@lemmy.zip 7 points 5 days ago

I noticed that my phone no longer autocorrects wwiii to WWII, and has started correcting it to WWIII

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 5 days ago

by creating another IRAN, to distract from the iran war to distract from NETANAYAHUS problems.

[–] metermatic26@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

Well…Iran is a vast country, with a deeply rooted regime, strong military, proxies all over the Middle East ánd the ability to chokehold global energy supplies…

…and yet Trump was stupid enough to wage war on Iran on a whim. Nuff said.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 8 points 5 days ago

He's an idiot. Also a narcissist, so easy to manipulate. He always thinks he's right and he always thinks he knows better. He's unpredictable imo.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 5 points 5 days ago

well more epstein stuff has come up so.

[–] SillyDude@lemmy.zip 4 points 5 days ago

They also have 60 million people that voted for Facio.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.cafe 3 points 5 days ago

I hope so, but history indicates otherwise.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Not a fucking chance. What we would do, is cut a deal with their military to seize control, which, is what we did in Venezuela in case no one told you that yet.

[–] DMCMNFIBFFF@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

The mid-terms are a week away.

[–] Chakravanti@multiverse.soulism.net 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

What's your A1C on that? I mean, I'd ask Gary Webb butt...

[–] DMCMNFIBFFF@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

What’s your A1C on that?

What's an "A1C"?

FWIW, I'd bet money that the House will flip, and I'm sure that the Senate will win ≥48, probably more. It'll slow, but not stop, Trump, who might be his own worse enemy. The next Democrat President will be a relative dark horse, as was Obama in 2006, Clinton in 1990, or Carter in 1974; and the next Republican President will be about as bad as Dubya Bush or Trump.

I hope 'Untied' States wasn't a typo, because that has the ring of truth.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

It wasn't. I've been spelling it that way since Trump has been back in power

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The Untied Snakes of Vespucciland

Puck's gonna be mad at one of us for outing him like that.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Don’t worry, if we were to elect a government in Australia that worked for the people they’d do the same here.

[–] ElChinchilla@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

I tried to get hired on as a cement operator (oil and gas) in Australia for a bit. You all dodged a bullet on that one. I would have been there illegally for damn sure after that work posting ended.

Edit: drinking all your Goon.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 5 days ago

its much harder to invade it, much like iran its similar, the terrain is very prohibitive of enemy movement, when you have things like massive rivers and amazon jungle in the way.

[–] Airfried@piefed.social 7 points 5 days ago

Pretty much. All of this is part of their theater. He flies from facing the consequences of his crimes but the far right will of course spin it around, lying about some political witch hunt. It's always the same with these criminal politicians. Everyone else is the bad one. They know they simply have to keep denying everything and some idiots will keep believing them. It's sad, really.
