How funny, it's been a logged out only experience for me for years now.
It's been a nothing experience for me for years. I don't miss it, honestly. Life goes on.
they have been thwarting peoples attempt to be active users for the last year, and now they want them to login. they thought the ones they dint banned were enough to scrape from with AI.
Is it "read only" experience?
It's "giant splash screen over content, telling you to sign in" experience.
I've been straight up IP banned and have only been allowed to lurk till this change fully booted me off. Every time I make a new account it is autobanned before I can get a couple comments off.
At least redlib still works, but once thats done so am i.
Yeah same here, I haven't had an account for ages now, but I do still occasionally take a look. But first they did the "new reddit" thing, then the API thing so all the apps stopped working, then VPN blocking and now this will (presumably) kill redlib as well. I'm kind of done having to find all these workarounds just to look at a site that obviously doesn't want me going there and is becoming increasingly worthless anyway. Oh well.
