"he's better than trump" will be the justification for him running. Nothing more than that.

And just like the last time the Democrats tried to campaign on only that, they'll lose again.

When I see people like Newsom and Schumer and Booker say the things they say and do the things they do, the argument about a controlled opposition party becomes so clearly apparent.
