It is though, actually.
First off, reactionaries only respect strength. They perceive kindness and compromise as weakness, and reason as condescension. They'll more likely respect you if you stand up to them directly. It's an odd quirk of psychology, but it's a real phenomenon. Also, some of them are just fighty, and if siding with the left means you have to be polite and passive, that can be a bigger ask than just getting them to change sides and directing it at the right people.
Second, the hardcore reactionaries, the ones who believe shit like what this post is mocking, are mostly unreachable. The important thing is for the people who aren't so deep into it to not get attracted to it or think of those things as reasonable concerns. Mocking those concerns and pointing out how cringe and weird they are is good for that.
Honestly, it just comes down to normalization. The norm should be to laugh at shit like that, to push it to the fringe, not to respect it and act like it deserves a place in society.
