Who are the customers for such a ridiculous thing?

As someone whos grew up on iPhones this feels reasonable for a high end product…

Reasonable is $900. Just because apple made a $2000 phone doesn't mean everyone does.

I had a Nexus 4 for $300 way back when, and that was mighty premium enough. We're all getting screwed and there is no savior. The water has been boiling for over a decade.

My current phone cost $500 and it's more than powerful & capable enough. Android sucks to use but other than that I have no idea why anyone would get anything more expensive unless they need some really good camera.

Android does suck but is superior to iOS. If only linux was realistic on a phone.

Jolla phone, with SailfishOS exists. Mine will be sent out soon!

I am intrigued for sure, I want to try them out but none of my drawer phones suit it or postmarket.

There a few limitations, banking, camera, car projection. But they are getting better.

There is android auto support made by a user. Banking depends on the bank. And camera is also getting some community love.
