Billionaires don't get to be billionaires by being nice or good.
Name one "good" billionaire, I'll wait.
They also support each other with the media outlets they own.
This guy made his new wife sleep with his friends right after their wedding. They let news outlets release this to press back in the day because it was a man's world and they didn't care about the optics like they do now.
There are no good billionaires, prove me wrong.
I suppose JK Rowling, regardless of her personal politics, made her actual money by writing the world's most popular children's book series. Likewise George Lucas I guess is probably a billionaire too. And Taylor Swift.
But these are examples of incredibly lucky creators of novel IPs. There's always been a handful of these people on the lower end of the upper end of economic power.
Inflation made them billionaires by convenience, next.

I read one book and I was like, oh cute. And then I forgot about her until she became a cunt.
I disagree with her politics and bigotry... however, I think the poster was saying that she did not inherit millions to turn them into billions. She built a media empire on her own. I mean, I can separate the art from the artist in most cases but I can appreciate it without sending enriching them by purchasing secondhand or borrowing from the library.
Broadly I would tend to agree but... there's plenty of billionaires who give away billions. Rather than wait, just google it. It doesn't mean they're nice people but their money does good. There's no getting around that.
I know that most wealthy people give money either as a performance for others or out of guilt but that's still money given to people who need it. Personally I don't care about their motives so long as their money actually helps.
As for somehow creating some kind of socialist utopia where billionaires don't exist, you would be ignoring our entire history as a species. Sooner or later "some animals are more equal than others". It sucks, particularly if you are the sort of person who has an abundance of empathy but there it is. Best we can do, I reckon, is look after the people in our immediate vicinity. If we all did that mind you then maybe things would get better but I'm not holding my breath.
The suffering and death required to create and sustain any billionaire should bee punished.

Like who, bill gates and Warren buffet? Are you sure they’re giving away their billions or did they just say so? Or are they giving their money to “charities” run by their kids and their kid's friends as a way to funnel their wealth to their children? Which is what buffet and gates literally do. These people are billionaires, you don’t think they have PR that tells them to say they’re altruistic? You don’t think they straight up lie when they tell you they’re giving away their money?
I think Gates' ex-wife has been administering a lot of money through her foundation.
