I’ll stay in my genetically diverse country of Canada and if I feel like it, I’ll visit any one of the many casinos we have here and keep my money in the greatest nation on earth.
I like people of colour, ethnic origins and choice of religion or lack there of, and honestly, I enjoy feeling safe amongst my brethren and not worrying if myself or my neighbour will be pulled out of their bed because they were born the wrong skin tone or race and sent off to a desolate jail in another country not of their own.
America the fascist can rot and I’m enjoying watching it start to implode.
I feel sorry for the good Americans caught up in this, but you have a line item in your constitution to fight this sort of thing. It’s up to you all to choose what you do with that.
You shouldn't. Its implosion will have a negative impact all over the world. Far-right extremists are gaining power everywhere, including in Canada.
Yep. Not to mention, that is sort of sadistic. Many innocent people are suffering and it will get worse.
It needs to get worse for a chance for people to wake up and demand progressive change, not regression. If more people need to die due to their apathy or hate, so be it. Do I like saying that? Absolutely not, nor did I expect to be living in Idiocracy.

Besides clutching pearls, what else are you planning to do? What is it that you're waiting for? You're clearly unhappy with the state of things. Are you one of those just hoping it will all sort itself out? Are you waiting for someone to save you?
All the empathy in the world is going to help you exactly zero. I do feel bad for people who didn't choose this. But that doesn't mean you aren't collectively shitting the bed right now. I'm not talking about individuals. There are people trying. Not nearly enough.

I'm not so sure. The rest of the world is working as fast as it can to extracate itself from any depedence on the US. Here in Canada, we are actively finding new markets for our products and so is the rest of the world.
By the time that the US does implode, nobody will care, and hardly anyone outside the US will notice.
Our country is within range of America as it flails and thrashes on the way down. We can't escape that.
Yeah, Canada is probably less able to escape collateral damage from the US imploding than any other country. Sorry about that, you guys don't deserve it!

Of course neither of us can know for sure, but I personally believe that Trump/MAGA utterly failing will have a takedown effect on all those far-right parties that are very much copying its playbook.
If that happened, I'd agree with the "glad it's imploding" idea.
