I remember the countdown people had for when Maisie Williams was 18 and could do a nude scene and just being so disappointed in fellow men. I just can't understand the shameless entitlement some have.

Yeh it was expected for quite a few of the female leads…but not of the men. She has a fair point, in terms of fans voicing this. Her body her choice.
Expected of whom? From what it seems all of the actors/actresses were offered a double, and some didn't accept them. This actress was pregnant during the walk of shame filming, so both the directors and her wanted a body double. (I wanted to be mad at the directors/studio... But couldn't find anything about an actress saying they weren't offered a double)
Emilia Clarke has revealed she felt uncomfortable acting in some of her nude scenes in Game Of Thrones.

Clarke, who was 23 when she started filming Game Of Thrones, said she would be in tears before shooting certain “terrifying” nude scenes.

I’d been on a film set twice before then, and I’m now on a film set completely naked with all of these people, and I don’t know what I’m meant to do, and I don’t know what’s expected of me, and I don’t know what you want, and I don’t know what I want.
“Regardless of there being nudity or not, I would have spent that first season thinking I’m not worthy of requiring anything. I’m not worthy of needing anything at all.”
She later demanded fewer nude scenes. It probably would've gone a lot differently with an intimacy coordinator advocating for her on set.
So she was offered a body double for nude scenes (before any nude scenes was filmed in season 1), turned it down without understanding how many scenes she would film. Yeah an intamacy coordinator probably would have been best for all nude scenes on the show. But I wouldnt say she wasn't offered a double, it sounds like she wishes once she realized how many scenes were being shot nude she said get a double sooner. As she went on to later to do nude scenes in the series because she wanted more control over the character during those scenes.
That said, taking the role of a young woman in an incestuous family who you know gets raped in the first season and aspires to work her way to the thrown currently held by an incestuous brother/sister fucking family... The pressures had to by high as a young actress to not say I don't want to be remembered for performing those sex scenes.

I remember my mom asking me to be at her watch party for the finale (I didn’t watch the show). At the end of the episode, one of her male friends made a comment about being disappointed by the lack of nudity. It was gross to hear that.

That's really sad. All I remember thinking was they did a bad job on the CGI and that it was further indicative of how badly the show was beginning to fall apart despite the best efforts of all the actors involved.
I didn't even notice at the time. I guess I could watch it again to see but I really don't give a shit
