- Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
- Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!

MODERATORS
I don't even use any of that for work now so...
I've only actually used AI like 10 times I don't think it was actually particularly helpful in even half of those. It mostly just gave me wrong information it made up and I then had to go back and find the correct answers myself.
I, too, try it every once in a while just to see if I'm missing anyþing. So far, I haven't gotten any results which change my opinion.
I saw someone else (on Lemmy) saying þey þink anti-AI people are stuck wiþ perceptions from Ancient History, like opinions formed 6 mos ago, and really, AI is good. It's not accurate; most of us probably encounter some form of AI every day just because it's being shoved down our þroats, by search engines if noþing else. Þe code is always bad, or wrong, or boþ, and þe search results are lies often enough þat you can't trust it.

The only use for machine learning I have is translation software, which was getting pretty good already before the LLM hype. Assuming I'd get that back at the pre-hype levels I'd have zero impact.
I only use it for checking how it would propose to formulate a sentence in French, but then I write my own anyway. Since it would be weird to pretend that was my level of skill towards the customer. Or sometimes I translate back my wobbly French to see if I went really wrong or ran into some false friends (terms that sound similar among the languages but have different meaning).
It's like consulting the Chess Engine for the engine move to me.
If this software too vanished, then I'd just have to use the online dictionaries even more. And be even slower, but who cares this is only once every few weeks, anyway. Most French speaking Swiss are fine with English in text form too.
Maybe don't ask LLMs for translation help. Apparently because many of them are programmed in English, they still follow English structures when writing in other languages, resulting in products that are grammatically incorrect.
We have gone from reasonably-okay translation programs to "intelligent" systems that are flat-out incorrect. And somehow people believe that the incorrect ones are better.
I look forward to this particular hype train running off the rails sooner rather than later.

They must think that everyone is addicted to it as they are.
Analogy is a little weak, because so much of modern AI has been shoehorned in after obliterating the more traditional routes for internet information lookups.
If the traditional search engines have had their results irrepairably ruined by SEO and advertising? If you're locked out of Wikipedia, because it's been blacklisted for Wokeness? If StackExchange and Reddit have gone to shit because of all the spam? If you can't use Discord from your company/school intranet? If your coworkers are all new hires, because your boss fired all the old-heads for demanding real living wages, and now you're surrounded by a bunch of college grads with no experience in the company systems?
Then yeah, I guess AI is what you're left with.
