Itβs the only client I have found that loads all images, regardless of source. When I used voyager, about half of the images didnβt load.

Is it certain websites that were the problem, or file formats, or something else?
Probably because of Anubis protection. When the whole "AI scrapes the internet over and over so servers get flooded to death" (effectively an unintended DDoS attack) thing got wild, several websites incl image hosts enabled Anubis, which somewhat works in a browser, but often not so great in apps. Possibly it's the apps fault for [not] setting the correct headers or whatever.
Interesting, thank you. I have some research to do. Any idea if you can mitigate this on the client side?

I was using Sync for Lemmy until a week or two ago. It was nice and familiar because that was my reddit app of choice prior to api-gate, but for some reason it kept frequently erroring out and not showing posts or images. I switched to Voyager and so far it's been pretty good
I was a sync user for many years on Reddit. Then also I paid for the subscription on Lemmy. The app stopped being updated so I left. It had been around a year at the time since anyone heard from the dev.
I havenβt checked back. Whatβs the latest? Still got the βLJ does this but he always comes back! Heβs so great!!β crowd; or has everyone jumped ship?
Honestly, I don't know. The app had been really spotty for months, I didn't check about updates or anything, I just jumped ship. If the maintainers abandoned it though, that would explain why it broke.

I went jerboa->sync->interstellar->summit
Every other one gave me a reason to switch, though I don't remember why I left interstellar
It's one if Lemmy's main advantages that the websites are light enough on resources to not need a client. Praise open source :)
I use boost because it was what I used for reddit and it has a good swipe view.
I have Jerboa installed from F-Droid, but I use Firefox.

Used to be Memmy for Lemmy. That's gone, so I've been using Arctic and the web.
This just inspired me to download the source code for Memmy for Lemmy. Whether I spend time updating it for personal use or not, at least I have it if I need it. Sorta like how I plan to keep a derivative of Pocket going if I decide Wallabag isn't enough (also code available on github).
Firefox. I used jerboa for a while but it got confused one of the times the admins forgot to renew the domain or cert or something plus you have to remember all the names for the emotes.

Phone, it's connect or summit, depending on which phone. I like summit's looks better on oled screens. Otherwise it's connect
No joke, I use my self-hosted Friendica instance as a PWA and browse Lemmy/PieFed threads from there. I even get notifications for new topics via Firefox.
Why? Because an extra app on my phone means extra battery usage, basically.
Um.. I don't think it does.. but the friendica thing is pretty cool
