Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

No, Trump is trying to distract from his failures as a human being. He thought Iran would be easy - it wasn't. So he's going after someone he thinks is weaker to keep the distractions going & expecting the usual wartime support from "patriotic Americans." He's worn them out already & ain't likely to get much, IMHO.

I don’t know much about Cuba. Anyone have a guess on how they would do in an engagement similar to Iran? I don’t recall seeing news about them building missiles or drones, they don’t seem to have allies that could help, and I have no idea if the local population is going to be looking to resist. Even if the population wants to resist, what are the odds they can? Sure guerrilla warfare will be likeliest outcome but would that allow them to hold a majority of the island?
Iran is a natural Fortress. Basically they can dig in and hold out forever. Cuba's a country with very beautiful beaches. There's no way they can resist and even if they could they've been starved for months now and probably don't have the capacity to anymore.
Also distance from the USA and the added supply chain delays/costs, an army doesn't exist long without supplies

I think the Trump admin would probably try to do the same decapitation without boots-on-ground playbook they’ve done in Iran + Venezuela, but it wouldn’t be pretty if they tried landing troops.

I think the Crips would fuck them up too, honestly. The only times they actually seem to have any sort of success is when they go after vulnerable populations like trans people and children of immigrants and pregnant women. Real big tough guys they are. Very scary and intimidating. Watch how much they puff out their chests about it too.
