The sad part is trans people lost rights in a lot of states. There was a blue wave, but this wasn't a total win. The billionaire tax measure lost in California and measure 42 which did pass now makes a one time billionaire tax on assets impossible.

California is a land of liberal fascists.
You've got to swallow that bitter pill before you can make any headway in the state.
I'm glad for the blue wave, but it was fueled mostly by angry people thinking with their wallets, lashing out at the party in power. The Americans who have been selfish and cruel for the last 20 years are still just as heartless as they've ever been.
Up here in Washington, we managed to uphold our millionaire tax, but trans girls were barred from sports with cis girls, and schools can no longer withhold health and wellness information from parents (information that would out LGTBQ students to their parents, for example). Interesting to note, however, that while trans girls can't play with cis girls, trans boys are free to sport it up with cis boys. I long for the day when a trans boy just trounces every cis boy on their team. The fallout from such an event would be legendary.
The other thing is the girls health checks to make sure they are a "born female".
That was started in Florida by some pedophile doctors. I moved to get away from that shit and now it's one state above mine

God simply cant be anything but non binary. Its like a defining feature of the Divine that it transcends mortal boundaries. Insisting on confining that to a sexual, material, fleshy gender binary has always struck me as blasphemous.
But what do i know im a blasphemous heathen myself 🤷♂️
They'd probably agree if they actually took time to understand what non-binary actually means. Just like they usually agree with Socialism when you don't use the word socialism in the explanation.

Literally nothing about governance of state in there, just a single strand of social opinion.

A looot of people never matured past the junior high/high school level. And a looot of those people are conservatives
In Law school they teach us about the "eighth grade rule". Basically if you're going to say anything to a jury, make sure an 8th grader would be able to understand it... And after watching a few jury selections, that honestly seems optimistic.

The idea of God being non-binary is really one of the oldest ideas in theology—even Christian theology. This should not be controversial in any way. But here we are.
The various flavors of god in christian history have been great excuses for people to kill each other. So, really, they're just following good old tradition.

It's so funny that the things they're scared of aren't even hardly on the radar of most liberal politicians. Like Hinojosa's platform is literally increasing educator salaries, providing rebates for Texans out of the bloated rainy day fund and reducing property tax burdens. Also, Texas doesn't have income taxes with which to increase.... So what taxes do they think will be increased? Probably oil production and data centers which is a popular position across the line.

They're mad that Talarico pointed out that the original text uses male language for Yahweh and female language for the holy spirit. Talarico said god has aspects of masculinity and feminity, and conservatives flipped out. He cited their actual book.
My experience has been that the people who are most eager to advertise how much they value the bible are usually the least likely to have read it. And they get very upset when you cite it to them.
God is described as a mother more than once in the Old Testament too.
