Hmmmm, freakishly huge storms happening over and over again? Wonder what could be the cause of such a climate based phenomenon? 🤔

She's such an unfathomable piece of absolute shit. Anyone in that state who voted for her get what they deserve. I'd say I feel sorry for liberals in that state who are going to be effected but judging from the polling numbers there, there aren't very many. Most likely moved away as soon as they could.

No, but don't you understand? Tesla is not a car company, it's an AI company. They were just making cars while developing AI systems. So it's fine if they stop selling cars. So just keep buying TSLA stock and everything will work out great!

The flip side of that is that instances large and small outside of the influence of the government can do as they please and people can use other means, like VPNs, to access them.

Yeah, I was really sympathizing until I read that bit. Now I'm just disgusted. The actions of the CBP are beyond wrong. The illegal search and seizure in making him open his email is an absolute constitutional violation as is forcing him to sign a affidavit saying he did so willingly, which is even worse. The fact that he gave in would be stupid at any other time but the way this administration is disregarding the constitution and the courts and just throwing people out of the country without any due process is so dystopian I can hardly blame someone for giving in. But as it appears this moron voted for Trump, I don't feel bad for him personally, I just feel bad for everyone who didn't vote for that bastard who is going through the same treatment.

In my book, if someone says their a fan of Joe Rogan or they quote him, they're dead to me.

IIRC the original US copyright law as written by the founders was 25 years or so. The extensions on that have all been in the last 70 years or so due to mega corps like Disney.

The problem with Musk and Dorsey is that they want the copyright laws to apply to them but no one else. "Rules for thee but not for me" mentality of the wealthy.

I can honestly see a use case for this. But without backing it up with some form of technical understanding, I think you're just asking for trouble.

If you are believing what those things are popping out wholesale without double-checking to see if they're feeding you fever dreams you are an absolute fool.

I don't think I've seen a single statement come out of an LLM that hasn't had some element of daydreamy nonsense in it. Even small amounts of false information can cause a lot of damage.

What exactly is the benefit of using an LLM? Why would I bother using one at all?

You realize that the only reason Lemmy hasn't become so enshitified is because the user base is too small for the corpos to seriously target it yet. The day Lemmy has more than a million users the army of bots will not be too far behind.
