4chan Nazis used to believe that Taylor swift was a secret white supremacist who browsed /pol/. With Swift that was laughable but idk Sydney Sweeneys got me raising my eyebrows sometimes. She’s registered Republican, her family is pretty religious and conservative, plus being from the Idaho panhandle on a lakefront property. Screaming red flags.
Whatever her beliefs though, and tbh I think she probably leans conservative but at the end of the day is pretty apolitical, she’s become a symbol of “the death of woke” and the rollback of progressive politics for many on the right. She’s a blonde, white, Hollywood sex symbol who seems at least on the surface to have conservative ideals (or at least it’s easy to pretend she does). She’s what the right always hoped Taylor swift would be. But as opposed to Taylor, Sydney Sweeney seems to be leaning into the “big boobs anti-woke” angle regardless of what she actually believes.
