Maybe it's a show, a game, food, a song, or even a book, but what's that thing you love even though you know it's objectively bad?

Maybe not objectively bad, but mine is '60s music. Even the super sugary pop crap (well, minus bubblegum). Even though a lot of the lyrics haven't aged well. I just love it. SiriusXM's '60s Gold stays on my radio dial!

Also, I love being in the sun. I'm super pale and I've had to have a bunch of things removed and biopsied by the dermatologist, so now I load up on sunblock and avoid the sun like a vampire, which makes me sad. I know it's bad for me but I really do love the sun πŸ’›

Walking around town with a plug in.

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

How is this one my 100th upvote to you

[–] TriflingToad@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

does it feel good or something because I imagine it just feels weird

Does it feel good

Incredibly so.

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Weird question but do big sturdy poops also feel good?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 1 day ago

I mean... Yeah, but for a totally different reason.

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

So, real talk...you ever cough or sneeze and rocket it out onto the sidewalk?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 10 points 2 days ago

Only when it's getting time to go up a size.

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

A good plug, like an NJoy PurePlug, will never fall out if you cough or sneeze. You have to actively want to remove it.

[–] HakFoo@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 2 days ago

Genshin Impact.

Yes it's a crappy casino for horny teenage boys, but damn if they didn't put a surprisingly decent game on the ground floor of said casino.

Oat milk lattes. I can't afford my own machine yet, so I have to pay someone else to do it. Dear god I'm poor, but it scratches a tiny itch that nothing else does.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The 8-shaped coffee maker is like 30 bucks and most Italians make their coffee with it. Apparently it makes a very decent espresso. Adding it to the oatmilk, ~~voila~~ presto!

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Unsteamed oatmilk? BLEH. DESPICABLE!

Watching romantic K-dramas. We start them together with my wife, because I would never choose to watch one alone, after a couple of episodes it usually slows down and she falls asleep for most of the rest of the series, and I watch it alone while she is sleeping on the sofa. Once she wakes up in between or at the end I summarize what she misses for her ^^

Cigars. I only smoke one every month or two, but obviously tobacco isn't good for you. That acknowledgement aside, I really enjoy them, and have a humidor full of probably $2000 worth of cigars, many aged a couple years.

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

I recently had a cigar dream and I’ve kinda been craving one. I don’t wanna be outside, don’t have a garage, and don’t want to smoke them indoors, though. My last ones I can remember smoking were a Romeo y Julieta and a Monte Cristo, but those were like a decade ago.

[–] funkajunk@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Beer.

I enjoy getting buzzed, but hard liquor or cocktails is never my first choice. Beer will always be my favorite.

[–] baggachipz@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago

If it weren’t for beer, I would be in great shape, look better, and sleep better. I don’t care.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I drink Keystone almost every day. Can't stand anything stronger. Also, I don't trust myself on anything stronger.

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 11 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I love all kinds of unhealthy food and drink. Cookies, chocolate, cake, cocktails, coffee (it's not necessarily unhealthy, but I get the runs) ... and with sweets, I also have a hard time pacing myself, pretty much the only way to avoid overeating is to not buy any at all.

Songs, books or movies to feel guilty about ... maybe all the sketchy anime I watch. e.g. monogatari series is definitely pedo shit, but it's also so damn well-made, and a lot of the pedo shit is pretty funny.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Peaches. I can't eat them without having a seriously bad time for a day or two. Still, if I see a Georgia peach that's soft I usually just deal with the consequences later. They've been the hardest fruit to give up.

Lol, a dream worth living... unfortunately, I'd be dead in short order.

National Treasure is a mediocre movie that I will always watch the shit out of. It is the perfect balance of ridiculousness and action, and just always brings me joy.

Nicholas Cage is a National Treasure.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Haribo gummies. They give me awful reflux if I eat a bunch (which of course I always do), and they’re probably messing up my A1C royally also.

But goddamn.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It's probably the sugar, you should try the sugar free ones. Just eat a bunch of them the first time you try them!

The Amazing Spiderman 2 has a terrible script but I enjoy it. I think it's cause I like the actors and their chemistry

[–] andrewkfb@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

that’s fair! I also enjoy the soundtrack

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

I like the part where it plays "Gone Gone Gone"

[–] NONE_dc@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Listening reggaeton.

There was a time when I completely despised the genre, more for my environment than for my own initiative; but now I can see the taste in it.

my favorite album is "Los Extraterrestre" by Wisin & Yandel.

Romantic movies. I love me a good romance movie or TV series where the characters go through all these tribulations, drama, or some sort of stressful situation but in the end they end up together and get married. I don't think anyone I know knows this, but I've cried to a few of them and I'm not a cryer. I love me a nice, happy, romantic ending.
